Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Statement

At our school we are committed to providing a fully accessible environment and curriculum which values and includes all children and enables them to achieve their potential regardless of their education, physical, sensory, social, spiritual, emotional and cultural needs.

We aim to remove barriers to ensure that every child can enjoy and fully participate in all aspects of school life and benefit from the full breadth and richness of the opportunities we provide.

Every child in our school has individual and unique needs, however some children may require more support than others to learn and achieve their potential. A significant proportion of children will have special educational needs and/or a disability (SEND) at some time in their school life. They may require help throughout their time in school, while others may need a little extra support for a short period to help them overcome more temporary needs. We aim to provide all children, and families, with strategies for dealing with their children’s needs in a supportive environment, giving them meaningful access to all of the opportunities that are available to them at our school.
